A prospective streetwear brand client wanted proof before committing budget — not a pitch deck. So we built the storefront first, on our own time, and showed them exactly what they'd get.

Live and working
A client posted a freelance job looking for a developer to build a premium, modern e-commerce site for a streetwear T-shirt brand: clean UI, mobile-responsive, product variants, cart and checkout, fast and SEO-friendly. Before responding to any quote or timeline, they wanted portfolio proof that matched the brief specifically — not a generic template screenshot.
Rather than pitch with a proposal alone, we built the exact storefront requested — a premium dark aesthetic, motion-driven UI, and a real, working shopping flow. We kept it lightweight, with no backend or payment integration yet, so the design and UX could be judged first, before any budget was committed. The next step, once hired, was to move onto a platform like Shopify — trading custom backend work for PCI-compliant payments and an admin panel the client could actually run day-to-day.
A complete storefront flow, not just a landing page.
Staggered text reveal, marquee ticker
Product cards with hover states
Category filters, sort control
Gallery, color & size variants, qty
Working cart state, slide-in drawer
Built mobile-first end to end
Most freelance bids on a job like this arrive as a proposal document and a portfolio link. We shipped something the client could actually click through — the exact filters, variant picker, and cart flow they asked for, working end to end, before any commercial conversation about scope or price. It's a lightweight way to de-risk the client's decision: they're judging a working product, not a promise.
Whether it's a working demo to prove the concept or a full build on Shopify or a custom stack, let's talk about what you need.
